The Salvation Army

Proud Partners for More Than 50 Years

A guiding principle of doing good. We’ve partnered with Divisions, Area Commands, and Corps from coast to coast since 1965. We’ve studied their donors, volunteered, served on boards, and seen their impact firsthand. When it comes to helping The Salvation Army Do the Most Good, it’s not just what we do. It’s who we are.

Growth Planning

How to connect donors to The Salvation Army’s mission using these three key fundraising strategies.

“TrueSense Marketing has proven over the years to bring cutting edge tactical support to The Salvation Army Golden State Division. TrueSense works with our divisional development group to help us maneuver through the rapidly changing direct-mail and digital marketing landscape. The consistent revenue growth speaks for itself. A true business partnership in every sense of the way.”

Strategic, multichannel fundraising to help you reach and exceed your donor marketing objectives.

TrueSense Marketing has a half century of partnership raising funds for The Salvation Army. But we're more than just a long-time fundraising partner: we’ve rang for Red Kettles, celebrated with you at the grand opening of DMG Foods, and some of our staff are former Salvation Army employees.

Back in the 1960s, Dick Busheé and his dad sorted, stuffed, and mailed fundraising letters for The Salvation Army from the basement of their home. Today, our operation is larger, but our heart is just the same: a family-owned team of nonprofit marketing experts who love nothing more than helping The Salvation Army make the world a better place.

As direct-response fundraising has expanded over the decades, so have we. We work with The Salvation Army divisions and corps across the nation to grow strong donor relationships through all fundraising channels: from direct mail, to email, to social media, to telephone, and more. This is the goal that everything builds toward — using multichannel, integrated fundraising to maximize your donors’ long-term value and increase your revenue through:

Over the years, we’ve learned that not all donors are the same — they have a variety of motivations that inspire them to partner with you. To help you understand your donors’ motivations, we’ve commissioned market research about the donors who support The Salvation Army. Together, we’ll find the unique mix your donors respond to best, informed by an understanding of your donors’ personal values, aspirations, and motivations for giving.

While our multichannel fundraising strategies focus on the donor, our fundraising campaign planning focuses on you. We’re a direct-response marketing agency serving only nonprofit clients. Nothing excites us more than embracing your vision and helping to turn it into a reality. Reaching your fundraising revenue goals begins with talking to us today.

We’re honored to work with The Salvation Army nationwide.
